Calvary Baptist Church of Simms, Texas held a ground-breaking service on Sunday, November 27, 2016 for their new Calvary Multi-Purpose Building. Building Committee members Kenneth Barron (Deacon), Bobby Sellers (Deacon), Mike Amason, Jr., Steve Hawkins (Deacon), Tommy Caraway, Pastor Aaron Crawford, Shane Pope, Aron Crabtree (Deacon), and Alan McEntire held a special prayer over the project that when finished will consist of a full-size gymnasium, fellowship area, kitchen, children’s chapel, youth meeting sanctuary, game room, conference center and several class rooms. The building will be a much-needed asset to the church and community. It will be used for several different functions, mainly for the Calvary Adult, Teens and Children’s ministries as they carry forth the Great Commission. The building will also be available to the Community for various purposes. The church is in prayer to reach their goal of a June, 2017 completion.
