The New Boston Lady Lions earned a district victory Tuesday night as they went on the road to oust the Queen City Lady Bulldogs 7-3.

The Lady Lion bats came alive in the game with 10 hits total, including a homerun blast off the bat of Madison Thomas in the 3rd inning that fueled a four run inning that gave the ladies from New Boston a 6-0 lead.

Emily and Morgan McAlexander had big hits in the 1st inning that got New Boston an early 2-0 lead, with a double from Emily and a triple from Morgan each driving in runs.

On the hill, Morgan McAlexander went the distance, pitching seven innings allowing just six hits and three earned runs and striking out twelve.

The Lady Lions will play host to the annual McDonald’s Classic starting Thursday and running through Saturday, and will also have a district duel with top ranked Hooks on Friday, in New Boston.
