The New Boston Lady Lions jumped all over the Lady Tigers from Commerce early and often in their first game of the annual McDonald's Classic this afternoon, winning the contest by a final score of 17-0.

Morgan McAlexander was dominant on the hill for the Lady Lions, and some great plays in the field to back her up, as the hometown girls never gave the Lady Tigers a chance.

The Lady Lions scored six times in the 2nd inning with a pair of homerun blasts, and scored nine more runs in the 5th as  the hitting barrage had their way with the Commerce pitching staff.

On ther boy's diamond, the Maud Cardinals routed the Paul Pewitt Brahmas 13-2.

Cameron Mills earned the win on the hill for Maud giving up two runs on six hits, and striking out two in five innings of work.Justin Hill took the loss for the Brahmas.

At the plate, Adam Roberts was 2-2 with 3 RBI's for the Cardinals and Cade Townsend and R.J. Bailey each had multi-hit games and a pair of runs batted in each.

Action later tonight includes the New Boston Lions taking on Waskom at 5:45 p.m. and the Lady Lions will take the field again at 6 p.m. to face Fouke.
