Morris Glenn Pierce, age 77 passed away at The Oaks Memory Care facility in Texarkana, TX. on Nov. 2, 2018. A lifelong resident of Bowie County, TX, Morris was born August 26, 1941 on his family’s farm in the Pulaski Community of New Boston, TX.

In addition, he retired from the United States Air Force Reserve as a Master Srgt. He received his Bachelor of Business degree from the University of North Texas and his MBA from East Texas State University.
Morris’ passion in life was his love of farming and ranching. When he wasn’t working or spending time with his family, he could always be found on his family’s farm where he was born and raised. Aside from his loving wife Janet, his ranch and his cattle were his true passions for life.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Janet Nelson Pierce, his parents Iris and John Dee Pierce and his sister and brother-in-law Mary Katherine and Clay Roberson.
He is survived by his daughter and Son-in-law, James & Rebecca Pierce McKay of New Boston, TX, his son and daughter-in-law, Randy & Gretchen Pierce of Little Rock, Arkansas and one brother and sister-in-law, John and Ruth Pierce of Greenwood, Indiana.
He was blessed with five beautiful grandchildren whom he adored. Laiken McKay of Waco, TX, Lila Jane Pierce Mckay of New Boston TX, and Nelson, Vivian and Owen Pierce of Little Rock, AR. In addition, his life was filled with a great number of beloved nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Though his mind was robbed by a horrible disease, he passed peacefully knowing his lord and savior, the love of all of those around him, and the promise of a life everlasting. No doubt, he left this world dreaming of greener pastures, rolling hay fields, and acres full of pure breed cattle.
