In DeKalb, Texas the saying is “The Treasure is Here” and there are lots of living examples as to why that is a true statement. Those who live there know who they are. They are those people that give of themselves tirelessly, without regard for how long it takes or any form of recognition.
One of those treasures is Jonna Reed and you only have to ask those around her to find out why.

Samuel Allen (diagnosed with Aspergers) addresses the fathers who are having a difficult time accepting their child’s diagnosis. This hits home for many as Sam speaks from the heart (he spoke while we let the cameras roll) how it feels to have Autism and a Dad who could have bolted from fear of the unknown.
