County readies repairs

Montague County Commissioners will consider moving forward with major repairs to the historic courthouse when it meets at 9 a.m. Feb. 11. The court has been debating for the past year on replacing the roof and windows, along with repairs to the sidewalks. Those discussions also have involved the Texas Historical Commission, which has encouraged the county to pursue repairs that are more in line with the historical integrity of the building, as well as waiting and apply for a possible future grant for full restoration.
