JEANETTE GARRETT

Hazel Jeanette Garrett, age 78 of New Boston, Texas passed away Wednesday, November 28, 2018 from the comfort of her home surrounded by family.  Mrs. Garrett was born on June 24, 1940 to Jesse and Ruby Grider Raney of New Boston, Texas. She retired from the Bowie County Clerk’s Office in 1991, was a member of Christian Fellowship in New Boston and enjoyed sewing, crocheting and cooking.   She was also preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Doyle Allen Raney and one sister, Billie Ann Lindsey both of New Boston.

FLOYD JUNIOR WILSON

Floyd Junior Wilson, 92, of De Kalb, Texas died Sunday, November 25, 2018 at a New Boston, Texas care facility.    

Junior was born July 5, 1926 in the Big Woods Community of De Kalb, Texas to John Floyd and Ladonia Sellers Wilson.  He was retired from Red River Army Depot, a Big Woods Cemetery Trustee and a member of First Baptist Church in De Kalb, Texas where he was a Deacon and Sunday School Teacher.  Junior enjoyed spending time outdoors ranching and gardening. 
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife, Holly Hegler Wilson of De Kalb, Texas; one daughter and son-in-law, Pam and Mike Prather of De Kalb, Texas; one grandson, Andy Prather and his wife, Sheree of Fulshear, Texas; one granddaughter, Holly Beth Bruno and her husband, Craig of Dallas, Texas; five great grandchildren, Lucas Bruno, Hadley Bruno, Addilyn Bruno, Judson Bruno and Bridger Prather; and numerous other relatives and friends.

ADA GADDIS HADDOCK

Ada Gaddis Haddock, 103, of Avery, Texas died Tuesday, November 27, 2018 at a Clarksville, Texas care facility.    

Ada was born October 21, 1915 in Colgate, Oklahoma to Thomas and Effie Tisdell Gaddis.  She was Homemaker, who helped her husband with the ranching and was a member of the Assemblies of God. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Samuel Weldon Haddock; one daughter, Evelyn Kelly; one son, Sammy Haddock, one grandson, Keith Tidwell; one granddaughter, Lynn Kelly; and two sisters, Evelyn and Leota.

STEVE COWLEY

Steve Cowley, of De Kalb, Texas, passed away Friday, November 23, 2018 at a Plano, Texas hospital. He was 59.

Steve was born June 8, 1959 in Huntington Park, California to Doyle Ellis and Crissie Marlene Crawford Cowley. He was a retired Inspector in the Mechanic Division of Red River Army Depot, attended Liberty Hill Baptist Church in De Kalb, Texas and was a member of the New Boston Rodeo Club, the New Boston VFW # 5873 and American Legion Post # 488. He was a Veteran of the United States Navy.

He is survived by three daughters and sons-in-law, Jenna and Dustin Jacobs of De Kalb, Texas, Jacqlyn and Phillip Sacher of Texarkana, Texas and Jennifer and Sean Wooldridge of New Boston, Texas; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Mary Faye and Carl Grubbs of New Boston, Texas and Debi Jo Stenmark of New Boston, Texas; an aunt, Marie Parker; 8 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild; and numerous other relatives and friends.

Richard Floyd Capson, age 79 of New Boston, Texas passed away Sunday, November 18, 2018 in a local hospital.  Mr. Capson was born July 5, 1939 in Salt Lake City, Utah.  He was retired from Red River Army Depot, a United States Army Veteran and is preceded in death by his wife Bonnie Capson.

Survivors include one daughter and son in law, Terri and Gary Hammons of Mt. Pleasant, Texas, one son and daughter in law, Harold and Kathryn Hillis of New Boston, Texas, one brother, Lamar Capson of Laramie, Wyoming, one sister, Eleanor Pratt of Boise, Idaho, 3 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and a number of other relatives and friends.

CHOICE WOOTEN

Choice Glenn Wooten, age 62 of Longview Texas passed away Thursday, November 8, 2018 in Longview.  Mr. Wooten was born May 24, 1956 in Naples, Texas.  He was a Baptist and is preceded in death by his parents, Daniel and Effie Wooten, a brother, Dewey Wooten and a niece, Julie Perkins.
Survivors include one nephew and niece, Robbie and Connie Wooten of Longview, Texas, two great nephews, Adam and Andrew Wooten of Longview,  his caregivers, Lela and Chuck Cronk of Longview and a number of other relatives and friends. 
Graveside Services will be held 2 PM Sunday, November 11, 2018 in Sand Hill Cemetery, Simms, Texas with Bro. Roy Ford officiating. Interment will be in Sand Hill Cemetery under the direction of Bates Rolf Funeral Home, New Boston.   Visitation will be from 1:00 until 2:00 P.M. Sunday at the cemetery before services.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Hospice of your choice.
