RUBY LEE DYKE GIBBS

Ruby Lee Dyke Gibbs, of Simms, TX, passed away Thursday, July 27, 2017 at Hospice of Texarkana Inpatient Care Center. She was 94.
Ruby was born November 30, 1922, in the College Hill Community of De Kalb, Texas, to Jim and Erma Hefley Cooper. She was a Homemaker, a member of the Wards Creek Ladies Auxillary and a member of Wards Creek Missionary Baptist Church in Simms, Texas. 
She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Elbert Dyke and Boyd Gibbs; two sisters, Emma Smith and Helen Barrett; two brothers, Bo Cooper and James Ray Cooper; and a grandson, David Mack Box.

WILLIAM RICHARD JONES

William Richard Jones age 64 of New Boston, Texas passed away Thursday, July 20, 2017 at his residence.  Mr. Jones was born December 24, 1952 in St. Louis. Missouri.  He was a Pastor,  Production Manager with Ledwell and member of Everett Baptist Church, Hooks, Texas.
 Survivors include his wife, Ronda Jones of New Boston, Texas, one daughter and son in law, Heather and Dan Cannon of New Albany, Indiana, one stepson, Derrick Collins of Texarkana, Texas, two step daughters and step son in law, Aerriel Collins of Simms, Texas, Auttumn and Corbin Owens of New Boston, Texas, two sons, William Jones and Phillip Jones of New Boston, Texas, one grandson, Brantley Cannon of New Albany, Indiana, one grand daughter, Athena Owens of New Boston, Texas and a number of  other relatives and friends. 
Memorial Services will be held at  11:00 A.M., Saturday, July 29, 2017 at Everett  Baptist Church, Hooks, Texas  with Bro. Roy Ford officiating.   There is no set visitation.

NOBIE HAUCK

Noble James  Hauck IV age 54 of Hooks, Texas passed away Tuesday, July 25, 2017 at his residence.  Mr. Hauck was born May 15, 1963 in Shreveport, Louisiana.  He was a self employed painter, attended Myrtle Springs Baptist Church and is preceded in death by a son, Noble J. Hauck V and his mother, Patsy Rateliff.
Survivors include his wife, Terri Hauck of Hooks, Texas, one daughter, Anna Hauck of Hooks, Texas, one sister, Angela Corbin of Hooks, Texas, his grandchildren, Katelynn, Jacob and Hayden Listebarger all of Hooks, Texas, his father, Jim Hauck of Greenwood, Louisiana, one uncle, Tab Adcock of Texarkana, Arkansas, two aunts, Lisa Thomas of New Boston, Texas, Carol Hale of Doyline, Louisiana and a number of other relatives and friends.

JAMES “BIG JIM” JIMMY CRAWFORD

Jimmy “Big Jim” Crawford, age 78 of New Boston, Texas passed away Saturday, July 29 2017 at the Hospice of Texarkana facility.  Mr. Crawford was born July 30, 1938 in Bowie County, Texas.  He was formerly  employed by Lone Star Steel, and at LSAAP (D&Z), in the machine shop, was part owner of B & C Inc,  he was retired from Red River Army Depot and from Barfield Enterprises.  After retirement he was a farmer and rancher.  He was a past Master of the Masonic Lodge #69 of New Boston and a member of the New Boston Church of Christ.  He was preceded in death by his parents Delma and Ruby Fowler Crawford, Brother Bill Crawford and two sisters Pat Waldrum and Joyce Reber.

Billie Norris Wood

Billie Norris Wood, of Hooks, Texas passed away Tuesday, July 11, 2017 at a De Kalb, Texas care facility. He was 88.
Billie was born June 11, 1929, in Bowie County, Texas to Hubert and Rubye Jackson Wood. He was an owner and operator of Warren & Wood Barber Shop in De Kalb, Texas and a co-owner of Russell’s Donuts in New Boston, Texas. Mr. Wood was a Veteran of the United States Army.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two wives, Norma Jo Wright Wood and Weda Russell Wood; a sister Doris Mashburn; and a brother Wayne Wood.
He is survived by four sons and two daughters-in-law, Ricky and Sara Wood of Carrollton, Texas, Lindsey Wood of Denton, Texas, Corey Wood of Denton, Texas and Jerry and Michela Russell of Prairie Grove, Arkansas; a daughter, Debbie and John Franklin of Hooks, Texas; 7 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild and numerous other family members and friends.

Bertha Lee Neal

Bertha Lee Neal, of De Kalb, Texas, passed away Tuesday, July 4, 2017 at a Texarkana, Texas hospital. She was 82.
Bertha was born January 25, 1935, in New Boston, Texas, to Sam and Mary Lee Haywood Crutchfield. On July 19, 1969, she was married to Willie James Neal, Sr. in New Boston, Texas. She was a former cook in the restaurant industry and was of the Christian faith.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Crawford Wyse, Sr. (Nen), two brothers, Tostie Lee and Tostie Miller; a son, Jerry Wyse Sr.; and a daughter, Mary Jean Wyse.

Kenneth Raymond Mitchell

Kenneth Raymond Mitchell passed away Saturday, April 8, 2017 at his home in Simms, Texas. He was 78.

Kenneth was born August 25, 1938, in Enid, Oklahoma to Jesse Lee and Gladys Ora Park Mitchell. He was a Teamster and a member of the Siloam Baptist Church in Simms, Texas. Kenneth was a Veteran of the United States Marine Corps and served in the Marine Corps National Guard.

Judy Ann Crouch

Judy Ann Crouch passed away Wednesday, April 12, 2017 at her home in Oak Grove, Texas. She was 66.

Judy was born December 26, 1950, in Seymour, Texas to John Bill and Edna Earl Smith Moore. She was a Homemaker and a member of Light House Church in Oak Grove, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, John Wayne Moore, two sisters-in-law, Carrie Mae Phillips and Margie Jo Gilbert, eight brothers-in-law, Grady Lott, Willam “Speedy” Phillips, William “Bill” Gilbert, Denzil Jack Crouch, Paul Stanley “Chuck” Crouch, Roger Dale Crouch, Sr., Allan Leon Crouch and James Troy Crouch, her father-in-law, Paul Elmer “Jack” Crouch, and her mother-in-law, Millie Frances Crouch.

Norman Hooten

Norman Loyd Hooten, age 81, passed away peacefully at home in De Kalb, Texas on Tuesday, April 11, 2017 surrounded by his loving wife and family. He was a devoted son, husband, father, friend, and brother in Christ. Bro. Hooten was a faithful servant of the Lord and minister of the Word for over 65 years, preaching all over the country but in recent years Bowie County, TX. He leaves a legacy of love for God first, then family.

LUELLA OLSON

Luella Mae Olson, age 78 of New Boston, Texas passed away Thursday, April 13, 2017 in a local hospital.  Mrs. Olson was born January 7, 1939 in Britton, South Dakota.  She was a Dietary Tech with New Boston Nursing Center and is preceded in death by her husband, Clifford Olson and a son, Rex Olson.

Survivors include  5 sons and two daughters in law, Raymond Olson of New Boston, Texas, Robin Olson of Melbourne, Florida, Ricky Olson of New Boston, Texas, Russell and Linda Olson of New Boston, Texas, Robert Olson of Melbourne, Florida, Janell Olson of New Boston, Texas, two brothers and sisters in law, Richard and Vickie Goreham of Stockton, California, Donal E. and Sharon Goreham of Manteca, California, 6 grandchildren, 3 Great Grandchildren and a number  of other relatives and friends.
