The New Boston Lady Lions showed the kind of stuff that champions are made of Thursday night in Mount Pleasant, as they battled back from a two set deficit to come from behind and beat the New Diana Lady Eagles in five sets.

Coach Haylee Houston’s squad left New Boston with a sirens blazing escort from the New Boston Volunteer Fire Department, and they maybe should have taken Ron Clark and the gang to Mt. Pleasant with them, as they set the gym on fore in the last three sets to earn their Area Championship.

The Lady Lions were led by senior Hannah White with 12 service points and 18 assists. McKenzee Thomas was a battering ram up front with 10 kills in the match and Morgan McAlexander was right beside her with nine kills of her own.
